Your ship is looking very nice.

I like your bottle cap paint holders too. They look to be the perfect size.

Bottle caps are easy to get and useful as paint holders, for mixing colours and to keep small parts Better watch out you didn`t use them for painting right before

There is slow progress. I collected more bottle caps than I added details...

Some bollards, the anchor winch and the funnel were the last steps. The funnel wasn´t so easy. Precise work at the top and with the exhaust pipes was requested. I´m satisfied so far but had some problems colouring the fan´s grid on the backside which is an etch part. I think I´ll have to paint it over, before showing it

It's beautiful work Nils, guessing at the size of the exhausts and fine work at the funnel's edge, I can feel my hands twitch

Thank you Tim

I started building the crane last weekend. It´s really well designed but you have to be careful and patient. Here´s the first steps, the cranes platform with a winch and the first part of the arm. As you can see, bottle caps are for multiple use

incredible work Nils! I'm always amazed at your skill. The bottle cap and tweezers for size comparison...makes my wrist twitch a little bit

Thank you again Tim I have to confess that I am a little proud about, especially because today I finished all parts of the crane and for me it looks okay. Now I have to check out which will be the best position of the crane´s arm to carry a buoy before fixing the parts to the ship.

You have every reason to be proud Nils, it's beautiful work as always. Even before she's done, all of the details will make this a truly awesome model.

Dare i ask if the federal eagle on the wheelhouse has actual feathers?
