HMS Victoria (Beetz, 2009)

This is my build of Carl Beetz' HMS Victoria. As you can see I have the lower hull completed and am now working on the spar deck structures. Its been a fun build and its going together pretty well.

Love to see one of Carl's designs in the hands of a master builder. I'll be following with great interest.

I can't get there from here, stuck in ever increasing scales I'm afraid. Next is an airliner cockpit in 1:12 but it will likely be my last. Sure like what you do though, looking forward to seeing more of your fine craftsmanship

Looks good Greg.
The original build thread by Carl is still up and running on this site.
It may contain some insight into some of the assemblies.

From where can the HMS Victoria model be obtained?
I looked for it but could not find a purchase or download site?

It used to be available from Gremir but that source is no longer in business. I haven't seen anything new by Karl in years so he may not be active in designing anymore. It would be a shame if his past designs were lost.

Update time. Been busy with it when life doesn't interfere.

The spar deck is now mostly finished. I'm having problems though with the forward part of it. There is a good image of how a raised deck is to be fitted. There is a small platform that is to be installed forward of the funnels and just a few mm above the spar deck. Its going to take some fiddling with.

The fit and finish are good. So far I haven't goofed anything.
