The southern iron navy
my book of that name was finally published in March 2019 after more than 30 years of research into the Confederate States Navy's ironclads. As well as potted histories of the vessels and technical info, there are scale plans of each vessel where it was possible to produce one. It's available as a downloadable & printable PDF from Wargamesvault.com.

The title of the product entry (at Wargame Vault) is:
"Ironclads And Iron Protected Vessels Of The Confederate States Navy 1861 -1865" If you search for "The Southern Iron Navy", as John has indicated, (and which is the title on the book cover), you will not find the book! I had to expand the search to find it! A direct link will help people find it: https://www.wargamevault.com/product...0104_0_0_44510

Thank you very much for the reference. Another interesting but somewhat obscure topic!

I don't know why They did that as the long winded bit was the working title ! Never mind, it has two unexpected results: one is that the book is to be used with my permissions as part of degree level course at a University, and secondly a wargames miniatures company will be issuing a range of models from the drawings this year.

Both of those rate quite high on the coolness scale!
