Yes it is Mike but I am enjoying it.
A brief post of the rudder horn and some of the tackle.
The "snatch block" in the system was I am sure introduced
to give the helm more power as the cable run is very long.
I am using black thread since according to Wikipedia wire rope
was available by 1860 so it was probably used. A metal hull and
metal cable would expand similarly to temperature changes.

Thanks Kevin,
The last part is the rudder cables.
They are threaded through holes and pulleys.
There are 2 overall pics and a tour down the port side cable.

This completes the interior of the hull.
cheers Jim

I took a break from rolling small tubes and built the stand.
It is printed on what the copy shop here calls "cover stock"
which is pretty heavy. I thought that the stand would not be
robust enough with regular stock. It seems to be quite strong.
cheers Jim

Nice looking stand - almost "steam punkish"!

You did a great job on that stand Jim, exactly as it was designed, well done indeed.

thanks FRD,
After some long time elapsed, the last of the hull is the prop/rudder assembly.
I found that it took some mental gymnastics to interpret the drawing
but I think it is put together correctly.
This believe this completes the hull. Only the turret to go.
cheers Jim

Yes, she will look good on that stand.
I think this is the first model I have seen with rudder cables.
Nice detail.

Thanks Mike,
The rudder cables do add a bit of realism to the model I think.
Just starting on the turret.
The base and the start of the right gun carriage.
The right gun is in the back service position and the left
gun is in the firing position.
Don't mind my calling it a gun. After all it is a "Dahlgren gun".
cheers Jim
