MM ORP Dzik

Hi All,

This is my first project on this forum and hopefully it will go nice and smooth

I started working on ORP Dzik from Maly Modelarz and I will be glad with all your advises and thoughts.

The kit is on A4, and I scaled it up to size 11" x 17". I decided to build two submarines at the same time (one is for me and the other one for my friend).
I'm adding a bit of "age" (first time in my life) to the model, so I'm wondering how she will look at the end.

Below some photos:

thanks,

Maly's submarines are very well designed. I am building the K-21 and had been very enjoyable so far. Will be following this build

Hi All,

so here is how she looks so far. The conning tower is done with 98%. And I have a lot of objection how it has been done But I hope that in overall look all the mistakes will fade away

The next one is a cannon. The parts from kit have been already prepared, and the renaming parts need to be custom made:

thanks,

This is really old kit designed and first issued in 1970s MM.It's fixed and few things changed for issue you have. There are pictures of finished model floating on internet from at least few modelers and all turned out great.I think there was some discussion about accuracy of few elements but MM are not known for accuracy.

Looks like you will do even better job with weathering,I'm looking forward to your continuing work.

Thank you Butelczynski. I agree, MM does not have the best accuracy, but 20 years ago it had reasonable price for reasonable look. I saw some of the completed models to get an "idea" but even though some parts are kind of tricky.

Thank you Don for kind words.

Hi,

a small progress...
Cannons almost done. I have a problem with the sight. To be honest I really have no idea how it should be mounted (based on the drawing provided ). I found two pictures from which I could grab some idea, but as you see, they are not so clear also.
If you would have any proposition I will be glad to read/ see it.
Thanks!
