Carpathia

Began work on Carpathia

Lots of little life boats

Tiny bollards

Now for the itty-bitty deck mounted vent pipes

Glad to see you working on this one, Bob.

Nice work so far.

I really like turn-of-the-last-century ships, merchant and naval.

Very cool, Mr. McCollough's 1:600 model, correct?

Yes,

This is McCullough's neat design; supposed to be 1/600 scale but I
work with whatever the printer spits out on letter size paper set at landscape.

Intending this model to be displayed at the next Ship Modelers Association
meeting...whenever that will be allowed to take place.

Stay healthy everyone,

BP

I really enjoy seeing others building my models. I'll be watching your build.

In my latest ship models, I am trying a different assembly method. Instead of laminated keel and bulkheads, I use single-ply members with tabs on all sides. The decks are also single ply, with tabs around the edges, to make better connection with the sides. I am currently redesigning the T2 tanker this way.

As for scale, if the border measures as noted in the lower left corner, the scale will be correct at 1/600.

Completed except for base

Completed McCollough’s Carpathia.
Now to create a base for display and pick up handling.
