I really like coastal merchant ships. I once travelled on a ship of similar size and appearance from Busan to Ullong-do off the coast of Korea.
You are doing a fine job on this model of a pretty little ship. Don |

Built the bridge yesterday and the funnel. hard to see, but all the port holes and windows are backed with clear plastic. The funnel is incredibly small on this ship. I reinforced the core. The two helpers are resting in the Sunday afternoon sun.
the model's length is 18 inches, looked it up the ship was only 45 meters long. Coastline or not this thing must have really rolled in any kind of swell. |

Additional pictures. The looped antenna I used an old drafting circle template that I used to pencil two concentric circles on card. Cut the inner circle and nibbled the outer. Dipped the final piece into thin CA, split it then installed it on the antenna mast.

Nice details all around that stern, including that steering wheel tucked in there under the deck.

A little more done. Covid doesn't stop yard work at home and the weather here in North Carolina has been awesome. Thought I would slam modeling but exploded in yard work and gardening, etc.
I added some light internal framing on the ships boat to try to keep it square while installing the hull covering. |

Thought I would model the ship working (no crew). Finishing the bow, the edge rails are extremely fragile. Handling will be difficult. I need to paint the cables and hoist beams.
