Yes, beautiful model and build. I don't think I remember any other design, aside from the Disney movie. Although I'm 100% sure I read the novel, I just don't remember much, it's been so long I do remember the now defunct ride from WDW Orlando. That and the brand new (at the time) Space Mountain, were such great rides for a sci-fi fankid.

I put some photos of the support redesigned by me. There is a cut to fit the keel and immobilize the boat to lateral rotation on its axis. In addition it is seen that the contour of the hull adjusts to that of the support. The support also occurs, on the area where the two bulkheads of the cylindrical central piece are

Thanks for the URL, cblf 49. I read the novel as a child and reread it last year. I am an avowed fan of Verne, but I think this novel is better in the Disney movie than in the book. For me, the author's best novel is undoubtedly "The Mysterious Island". Where Nemo and his Nautilus also appear
