USS "NEW MEXICO" (BB-40) made by SZKUTNIK - 1/200 scratch model
Ahoy!
I have just started building of the model NEW MEXICO (BB-40) in scale 1:200. Scratch model. The project is executed by software: Rhinoceros and Corel. The model contains laser cut elements that I designed myself. The Hull frames were made of 1.0 mm thick cardboard.

That's an excellent project!
I'm a huge fan of those old American battleships in their WWII configuration. Some time ago I even did USS Maryland BB-46 (1944) from scratch but it was in 1/1000 scale. Good luck with BB-40! So far, it looks very promising.

Great project! Good work. Your model looks very expertly done for a homemade design. Well done!

This will be interesting to follow. I've had an interest in this class, particularly sister USS Mississippi BB41

This is going to be a great model. You must have very accurate plans to base the model on. I'm jealous of your tools but could never justify a laser cutter etc. with my wife.
