Looking for Pre-Dreads?
Hello all. After a long hiatus I am trying to get back into paper modelling. I am looking for Pre-Dreadnought ship models. My current obsession is trying to covert the paper models into R/C models. I had quite a collection of PDN models, but lost most of them in a tornado and the subsequent moves.
In particular I am looking for HMS Victoria. I had a model from Gremir, i think, but they seem to have gone the way of the dodo. It is my favorite ship, a sexy little oddball with a single turret which I desperately want to make into an r/c version. So I am looking to start modelling again and need some cheap kits to relearn skills so I can work my way up, again. Any recommendations, links, tips would be greatly appreciated. thank you -chris |

A lot of full hull models of pre-dreadnoughts are issued by the following companies:
Dom Bumagi Oriel Modelik. Modelik has a french (Hoche) and an italian cruiser (Duilio), most of the other subjects are russian cruisers and torpedo boats. If you want to brrowse, this is a good website to get an overview what is available: https://sklep.gpm.pl/en/modele-kartonowe/okrety/1/200 Best |
