Great looking build. I think I will have a go at it soon. I was going to get the sub Sumoto had over at his skylinepaper website, but waited too long. His site disappeared before I got a chance to order it. If I remember, it was of the same type, but at 1/72 scale.



You seem to have great knowledge on this class of sub. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for the advice Niki it helped to give me confidence in my build. I scratched a few of the other periscopes to match some of the reference photos I’d seen. I wasn’t satisfied with my build of the mooring posts though, so I skipped adding those. Maybe I’ll reprint another time.

For my FB 1:144 group and fun I added a few of my other models for size comparison.

I love this. Always wondered how 130 crew members fit inside the hull, this really puts into perspective how big the subs really are. Great build and display!
