HMS Ark Royal Question

Howdy Folks,

Part #17 has me mystified as to how it attaches.

However it attaches, you have done a fine job on the model.

Thanks Don,

This is a simple 2 letter size parts pages print out.

BASE: Printed Water surface (2nd part page) glued to thick cardboard.
Measures 10” by 3 1/2 inches and is 1/4 inch thick.

Base Sides: A Manila folder provided strips to finish the Base sides and ends.

Paper join strips added to model parts

Swordfish: Tiny cutouts assembly sequence left to right.

Model measures 8 1/2 inches long 1 1/2 inch wide and two inches to the top of the trash can barrel thingy on mast top.

Ark Royal

Bob

Googling a few images of the Ark Royal shows a mobile crane on deck parked astern of the funnel on the stbd side. Also some show a similar crane jib on the port side abaft of midships between 2 boats but that looks less likely for your part 17 as the boats don't show very clearly.

All the best

Doug

Another look at the diagram looks like part 17 should be on the port side below deck level

Here are a couple more references showing the cranes.
