Beautiful model with great design expertise.
She really has the hybrid appearance, half steam, half sail.

Thanks. It really is the representation of two eras. One that dies and another that is born.

Hello i am new to heinkel models and i am wondering how does the package arrive, does it arrive like metal earth or does it arrive with only instructions and you have to print it out and glue it to hard and thicker paper?

It is a digital download, you buy the file, receive it in email, or you can download it, and then you use your home printer to print the model

Hello to everybody

The RN AFFONDATORE is the next ship I've in plan to build after I'll complete the russian Borodino and the USS Brooklyn actually on the yards...

I have already bought and downloaded this kit ..
I can say that Mr. Fernando Perez Juste (Heinkel) has really captured not just the so far steam era aspect, from technical point of view, but also the right "feeling" of that particular ship who has represented in this kit in an excellent way..

As Italian person, lover of the old Italian Kingdom Navy (from 1861 until the end of such century), I have collected since years a lot of information, drawings, sketches and pics (very few, indeed) of this ship... and I can say that this model seems really very true with the original ship.

So, for everyone who loves the sail-steam transitions warships, and the "unusual" warships, this is a kit that I highly suggest to get.

A big wish of a wonderful New Year to Mr. Perez and to all the other paper modelers worldwide

Ciao
JP

Hello what a beautiful ship,
is this all made from 1 thin paper or how did you make it,
and are you a designer for heinkel models?

Thimoty I see you very "green in this hobby and the Affondatore is a model for experienced modelers.
I advise" you to start with simple models.

The "Polish" style paper modeling uses two types of paper. 80gr for the internal structure or skeleton and the "skin" that I recommend 140gr.

80gr paper must be glued to 1mm or 0.5mm cardboard. It depends on the part.
