Pilot-20(KP-400) 1:50
Here's the second vessel I built in the pandemic.
As I was totally bored I decided to build the very old Maly Modelarz kit from 1978. It's a Polish pilot cutter Pilot-20(KP-400) used in the 1960s and 1970s. Today they're still in use but in a role of recreational vessels(fishing, sightseeing, etc.) The model itself is very inaccurate and difficult to build. Many parts have to be corrected or replaced. Definitely not for beginners. I'd only recommend it to advanced modelers. Scale 1:50

Wonderful Zenon work, a very nice model. Are the railings made of wire?

You did a superb job on this good-looking pilot cutter in spite of the problems and inaccuracies. I would like to be out in the Baltic aboard this trim and workmanlike vessel.

A very successful model for being a Maly.

Thanks!
Yes, they are, but I also used the thin rope as you can see in the photos. Quote:
What's next? I don't know, really. There are many models waiting but I haven't decided yet.

Very good build Zenon.I've seen some of Maly models from those days and they are a challenge to build.Lots of parts need to be remade or invented from nothing. You did really well.
One ship from those days I wanted to try is Norman ship 5/1965 issue.I never got around to it. |

Thanks eatcrow2 and Butelczynski.
I think I remember that model but it wasn't something I was interested in. That ship was from the medieval times I think. I've never liked this era.
