Looking at the hull, sails and rigging . . . Its an outstanding piece of work.
Question: How did you get the model to stand up on the keel for the photos? Mike |

Beautiful. Thank you for sharing! I've debated trying my hand at a sailing model (card stock or otherwise) but the rigging always scares me haha. Something like this does look like a good first try. Only one mast to figure out.

Thank you for favorable opinions.
Michel - it's not magic :-))) The hull is supported by a small piece of an old silicone mold for casting :-) Tomek

Tomek, thank you very much for the detailed answer. From the physical science point of view fixing of stay on bowsprit is less effective than fixing on the stem. This conclusion was the basis of my question.
My congratulations, very good model.

Hello Seahorse. Your cutter is beautiful; it is fine and delicate work, with practically no "naval" error. The rings that hold the sail to the mainmast, and I usually make them with glued and rolled CRAFT paper, on a wooden cylinder, previously smeared with a little Vaseline and then cut with a circular saw. Here those wooden rings are called "garruchos". Very good work; my congratulations
