The Dakar (Grouper in English) submarine, numbered by Navy C-77, was a submarine in the service of the Israeli Navy. The submarine "T" series originally served as a HMS. totem, in the British Navy, and entered service towards the end of World War II. In 1965, Israel purchased the submarine. It was renovated at Portsmouth Shipyards, manned by an Israeli team trained by the British Navy, and set out for Israel on January 9, 1968.F

Diving depth: 107 meters
Crew size: 59 people, 69 on its last voyage
On January 25, Decker drowned for an unknown reason, and all 69 of her crew perished.
On May 28, 1999, 31 years and four months after her disappearance, the remains of Dakar were found by a Nauticus search ship. The remains were found 3 km deep on the route to Haifa, 485 km from its destination
