The format looks like one of the old Israeli Defense Force naval magazine models. I did not know that the Hagganah was part of the series of models. There is another model of this, ship from 1977 that was published by H. G. Watkins (designer of "Waterline Warships").

This was also the subject of the film "Exodus" with Paul Newman playing a lead part.

Another nice model. Many thanks.
Exodus was a former Old Bay Liner that sailed from my home town of Baltimore, Maryland. As the SS President Warfield, it was named after the president of the Old Bay Line. Warfield's niece, Bessie Wallis Warfield, married the Duke of Windsor (previously King Edward VIII). I had the pleasure of sailing on one of the last of the Old Bay Liners from Baltimore to Norfolk, Virginia, in 1959. Don |
