Russian missile ships

Egypt purchased seven Kumar ships in the years 19621967 that served until the 1990s.

On October 21, 1967, an Egyptian Kumar ship sank the Israeli destroyer Eilat. This was the first operational firing of sea-to-sea missiles. The Israeli destroyer was not equipped with missiles but with cannons. Egypt had no casualties.

The Hausa ships participated in the Yom Kippur War in the Syrian Navy and the Egyptian Navy. Dozens of Styx missiles were launched from these missiles against Israeli Navy missiles in missile battles such as the Battle of Latakia, the Battle of Demet and more. During the war, a number of Osa models were sunk in missile battles and artillery fire. The Osa ships still serve in the Egyptian and Syrian navies.

Thank you very much Avraham.
I am seriously considering building at least the Komar and the Reshef in the near future, to me that about one to two years.
Thank you again for providing these classics to the forum!

I just could not resist!

Dear Abraham:

I just could not resist building the Komar.
Next to it is a Komar I did from scratch, before I knew I was a paper modeler, in 1/400.
Thank you again.
Looking forward for the next treasures (they could be terrestrials or aerials too).
