Vss bonn

Hi to all of you !
Here is my version of the VSS Bonn from kallboys.de https://www.kallboys.de/mondorfer-bastelboegen.
Scale 1:50.
PDF file in German, includes 17 sheets of instruction and 17 sheets of parts.
The model is wonderful and includes 544 parts.
Its finished dimensions are approximately (L) 55cm /21,65” x (W) 20cm /7,87”x (H) 14cm /5,51”.
However, at this scale, it has to be further detailed.
On the web we can find pictures (and a video) of this ship as well as of one its younger brothers, the VSS HOMBERG.
I used them to identify details and improvements to be made.
Basically: remove the printed windows and redo them in transparent film, perfect the lifting crane, the mooring bollards, decorate the deck with various things, redo the wipers that disappeared when cutting the windows, provide the best possible details of the instruments and systems located on the roof, fit out a wheelhouse due to the transparency of the windows, etc.
Some parts have been improved (buoys, anchors, door handles, else...) or replaced by copper wire, such as the masts of the signaling systems, flags, removable bridge guardrails or even the addition of antennas.
The wheelhouse was simply fitted out in paper and cardboard with a pilot in his chair, a helm, a dashboard, a table, electrical panels ...
And for more details, use of welding wire to make cables and other pipes.
Ho, one more thing, i forgot to empty the trash can from the deck of the boat !

Well done workboat; that crane stands as a worthy model itself.
