1930s contemporary toy/Model CGT NORMANDIE

Hello,

This is a 1930s era Kellogg's Cereal prenium, buy so many boxes of cereal, get a thing. The 'thing' here is a simple toy/model of NORMANDIE, 2 sheets, both 11 1/2" wide. Superstructure sheet is 22 1/8" long, Hull sheet is 32 7/8" (292.1 mm wide by 561.9mm and 835 mm). If you resize you should be okay as long as your height of each sheet is the same.

If this works, there should be A3, US legal, and Original size images.

Due to the size, the images are composited from multiple scans: i did build a 'test model' in US legal paper, everything seems to work. Short build, took 5 hours. Might be good for indoctrination of the young into the hobby. The last image should be my test build next to the original size...built maybe in 1986?

This project was inspired by the idea of getting it to a fellow forum member a long way away, and by Avraham RL's recent uploads of the cool older Israeli ships.

Scales: based on NORMANDIE'S length, and the model doesnt otherwise follow: original 705 mm, 1/444; legal 296mm, 1/1059; A3 350mm 1/897 ( last is calculated).

oh, be sure to remove the 3 black rectangles on boatdeck flap C, they are the reliefs for the lifeboat mounting tabs.

Hope all is well by you all...

Thank you for sharing.
Not a bad model for a cereal!
Should this be in vintage or both?

It would be vintage, i didn't know if it was appropriate to post same item twice in two different locations

I remember seeing this model. If you eat a lot of cereal, you could get it. Just wait a few weeks and it arrives.
