Really clean work and the water effect worked very well!

I also built this boat in the past, very pleasant work!

Regards, Joe

The DC. The kit is originally by Magnus Morck . He managed to design some half dozen Civil War craft.

Wyvern, Joe and DC, thanks for the compliments. The water is fairly simple. I crumpled up some plastic sheet, roughly smoothed it out and rubber cemented it over a simple sheet of blue construction paper. Once the general position of the Mendota was established (she's a waterline model) I took pieces of dried Ailen's glue (I use a ceramic tile as my glue receptacle so, over the course of time, this results in puddles of dried glue which can be carefully removed intact) and used these to create the various wakes. Then painted the highlights with acrylic white paint. Hope this useful. Again, the compliments are appreciated.
