Good looking subject.
As far as star wars, the ships and tactics used in that movie series are an absolute joke. All the tech in the universe but requires broadside cannonade, or "dropping" bombs in zero g. How about recoil on laser weaons and manual siting of aa weapons. I can' continue with the stupidity of these movies, but I did see them all. Sorry, back to modeling. |

This is a great project, Mike and your time tested techniques are great to watch. I see some extrapolation may be needed here or there as is often the case with models of ships of an earlier day, but adds to the fun

How about tethering this old battleship to big dirigible and float around. Or how about the space battle ship Yamato in other Sci-Fi cartoons. It is all fun. "Nothing to see here! Move along..." Isaac

Michael,
I hope these pics may help. Got kind of excited knowing I at least have some info on the class and ship.

Thanks Greg.
Those images provided good reading during my lunch break. The cover (last image), looks Russian, based on the flags. Mike |

03 – La Structure De La Coque
Thanks modelers for the remarks and conversations.
And Thank You Renaud for the history and information. Your descriptions help bring them back to life. Now on to La Structure De La Coque (hull structure). A grip block was attached to the lower hull frame, and then it was removed from the fiberboard. That created a stable straight surface to assemble the upper hull frame. Kind Regards, Mike Last edited by Michael Mash; 12-12-2020 at 03:49 PM. |
