Tug "Clyde" from the renowned CSS Lehigh (Civil War Buff's Historic Paper Models 06)
Tug "Clyde" from the famous set of CSS Lehigh (Civil War Buff's Historic Paper Models 06) [Models n 'Moore]. I didn't really like the monitor, but I decided to assemble the Clyde. I prefer 1: 200 scale and so I rescaled the original file. Unfortunately my experience with cardboard was not enough to satisfy the quality of the frame. In this regard, I returned to the technology with which I am familiar (I have been collecting plastic models for 25 years). I also could not make small details in good quality and created plastic ones. Added a winch and a net at the stern, davits from wire and a pipe from a chupa-chups tube. I tinted with felt-tip pens and Tamiya acrylic paint.
I apologize in advance if the text is not correct. I use Google translator. I ask the administration to delete the previous topic about the tug "Clyde". Thanks in advance. |

I also built this ship a few years ago....
The details look very good! The whole work is very precise and beautiful! (I also use a google translator ...)

That built in to a handsome little steam tug.

To my eye, you did a beautiful job on "Clyde".
Also, I really like the water. Looks like a real river.

Very well done!
It was a good-looking vessel, and you have done an outstanding job on the construction. Don |
