Sugar carrier Meinga 1:400

My Carpathia is not finished yet. I am waiting for somebody to teach me how to do the rigging
In the meantime I started building another ship - one of the sugar carriers - Meringa. Nice and easy. Lasercut framework is attached to each kit.
As recommended in instructions I sanded the round edges of the decks on the front and aft sections. Litthe hobby drill with sand paper attached was brilliant!
Yellow bulwark supports been a patience test as I had to add a million and five of them Oh and one of the winches is ready too.
regards, Kasia

I'm glad to see that you have another ship under construction, Kasia. The step-by-step images and your instructional narrative are very helpful.

It's a very good-looking modern cargo ship.

Kasia,
How do you prevent the hull from warping? Or is this really not a problem with the lasercut frames??

Regards,
Alan

@Don Boose, thank you
@Alan, lasercut frames help a lot to get a nicer hull. But the key thing is to shape the parts before glueing them. After you cut hull parts out, they have to be curved very accurate to stern/bow shape. When you do a dryfit, they have to have an identical shape to a framework. If that makes sense. Sorry about my poor english explanation ...

Your english is great Kasia. I work with a lot of different nationalities and it always amazes me when a person speaks a non mother tongue very well.(putting the rest of us to shame! I do speak some Dutch and French but - your ears would bleed!)

Thanks guys for your comments!
Now that my Carpathia is done, back to Sugar Carrier - Meringa, scale 1:400.
I took phone photos of parts that had outside markings (part numbers) which would be lost when cutting off.
I am on hatch covers now. The low side walls of the covers can be folded using a plastic card - wrap the side walls around the edge of the card - see photo below.
