and now get it all!
color of the hull. soft color? after trying for a long time, brown / wood was dropped, too dark for such a big ship. wanted a king of france to build a ship, so bright blue sure, but ... what else. light yellow. Try it out. or light brown? don't forget that I hardly have any colors at home, so I tested a mix Another problem for everyone who paints cardboard: always with the same color - use the same cardboard. ----------------------------------------------------------------- for the central upper wall I have to use different cardboard than the rear and front wall strips to save material. you look carefully, in the middle (B) one shade of blue, on the sides (A - C) another shade. even if the colors weren't so accurate in 1760, the model should have it so far. so stick the same cardboard in the middle and brush again. old box below and new above. the blue is the same, but the color ... not. ----------------------------------------------------------------- up to this point i have learned about various mistakes. 1- always use the same box. and if possible, not printed or with dark color. 2- if it is to be painted with paint, never cardboard under 240 g. 3- Always before, check with a cardboard strip that the frames fit together exactly. - Unfortunately, even a billing of the frames is not a guarantee, and none is a trip to ...... ergen wo! 4- Whom one should glue parts, especially when large parts, always from top to bottom, not from side to side. 5- go on ............ |

deck ship.
because of the line ship I'm building Because of the decks it won't be 100% made of cardboard. have no experience with pc, happened with pc graphics, and the decks are planked with colored cardboard or patterned cardboard, is a number too big for me, at least for the time being. after a few attempts that I better not show .... end with an idea. do not forget at the time in italy everything is closed and you have exit lock !! coffee wooden spoon! Some time ago a Geter bekanter got me a small reserve (3mm x 130mmx 1mm thick). I will glue these on a deck according to the system. and this deck mister is later not kept on the correct deck so that you can later take it out of the ship again and again to clean the deck or make repairs or changes to the deck. lower decks are also built to be extendable ... |

tea seal and nails are simply drawn with black pen.
wants the ship to be agile while still alive !! I have to say that it is quick with the planking. cut the wood staebien with scissors. and after gluing, draw with a pen. |

Hi!
You have created wonderful decks! Worthy of a ship this size! I also think about planking decks every time I take one of those wooden sticks for my coffee at work... One way round the change in color on different card boards is to paint them all first with a primer or grounding coat. Maybe grey or white. Then all the other applied colors should be everywhere the same. Ahoy! -RdK

thank you for the compliments. the bridges are actually very beautiful to see in real life. with coloring the side, I had problems with shades of the same color as I made a mistake in using different qualities of cartbord in making the external planking of the hull, instead of using only one piece. VERY IMPORTANT, if you color the use ONLY one type and of the same thickness of cardboard, it is worth paying attention to which side you use, all must be used in the same way. OTHERWISE then by coloring you will NEVER have the same shade. see photos below negative examples. photo one see differences points RIGHT - cardboard right next to the ship WRONG - piece B different cardboard to rest ship photo two, see differences points a / c against the b |

Hallo RdK
Advice, tar silulation of waterproofing between ship deck axles: important after gluing the wooden sticks, make a slight incision with an awl between the board and then go over the incisions with a black pen, do not use pennerello as over time the color of the marker fades and disappears. same work to simulate nails |

Good day.
Today I wanted to present a new idea on the subject: "Open the gun window" After a bit of back and forth, I decided not in the trunk that gun. To cut open windows because of too much effort and lack of experience in building something like this. I thought the flaps of the gun-windows simply to allow. But on a ship like that, I don't want to order a diet menu at the Italian trattoria. Defend bad for trattoria, and very bad for me, and my appetite. So another solution. But open, but with a simple variant. Show below with a small drawing. |

today report of the bug expansion.
a bit of creativity is required here (in Italian it means: planned kaos !!). after my drawing and some books i have something in mind, even if i don't really know what to follow and how to do it. - improvise is the motto. The front part is made of different layers of cardboard, 1 cm in size. |
