Hello everyone.
Congratulations on the start! The model is very interesting and complex. I started doing it too. Attention! The deck did not converge by 3 mm from laser cut cardboard 0.5. The second layer I made myself from the magazine did not converge by 0.8 mm. But this is already bearable. Maybe it was of course not lucky for me. I bought it here Моделирование - Super-Hobby.com - Магазин моделей, модели для склеивания, пластиковые модели

In my opinion should not make any difference where you bought it, Halinski is Halinski, or it must have been a scanned copy !!

This time I am starting with the hull. For this kit Halinski changed thickness of the parts from 1mm to 2 mm, also some new ideas of assembling parts are giving the model lots of strength, and in my opinion it is easier to keep the symmetry. Also in this design some horizontal pieces were added to keep the line of the hull straight. The length of the ship is 102 cm and 13 cm wide in the widest point. Hull was filled up with some foam and given a thin layer of paris plaster. Now is ready for skins.

great looking sub frame. I've been using balsa sanded back to the bulk head frames. What kind of foam do you use? Spray foams expand and would warp the model as thy set. Balsa is expensive, does allow for gluing, but is tedious to install.

Are you going to reprint the decks? for some reason it appears the designer forgot to make them with the deep redish-brown linoleum.

I was thinking of using balsa, but as you said it is much more expensive. I had some foam in the spray so I used that. Nothing will be re-painting. This is just the frame, now I will be skinning her around with the deck as well...

Gluing big flat pieces like ships deck are always a challenge, but I am happy how it came out....

I was able to steal some sleep hours and work on the hull.... it was challenging part of building the model since the hull is bulky, and every small mistake is not forgettable... Cut out all port holes and there are tones of them....finished also the anchors openings ... here are some pictures of what is done so far ...
