HMS Alert 1777, Shipyard
Hi All,
I’m very happy to join the group. Just want to share my previous work as greetings in Ship builder’s group. I made this long time ago (2008). Since then I was in hibernation mode and recently resumed paper modeling thanks to pandemic. Hope you enjoy the build. |

Hi John, Thanks a lot for sharing the link.
Hi All, As the intro to this awesome group, I'll post some pictures of the build in this thread. The original build report was posted to the German paper modeling site, Kartonbau, 13 years ago, but somehow the link to the pictures were all broken. Anyways, Hope you all like it. |

Joon Kwon, welcome!
I've viewed your HMS Alert build photos many times over the past few years and have shared the link to your video slideshow with many people. My own first paper model was Shipyard's 1/96-scale HMS Alert. Do you still live in the San Francisco Bay Area? If recall correctly, you lived in Dublin or something, just down the road from me – I'm in Pleasant Hill. Good to see you are back to paper modeling. I look forward to seeing more of your work here. |

Thanks a lot for kind words. Yes, I'm still at San Ramon and resumed paper modeling recently and, yes, I'm glad to build something I like. Thanks a lot and looking forward to your build as well. |
