Thanks Isaac, Mike, Gary, rifleman and wireandpaper for your interest and comments.

@ Isaac - From your comment, are this boats familiar?

@ wireandpaper - If you mean the foldout drawings, yes I do.

Maine activity are the two rotatable launchers.

The two rotatable launchers are done, ready for assembly. First the real thing as it presented at the Isrealy Navy Museum in Haifa. Each launcher has three canisters/missiles.

And now to the model...

Next, need to finish the bow and start the assembly.

Thanks Abir Merlin for your interest and comments.

The hull is done and started the assembly of the bridge and some more structures.

Bridge will be more detailed with chaff launchers, machin guns .....

While compliting the hull, I found a mismatch at the black whater line (sircle in next picture). Repaired it by bonding a small patch at that area.

Propellore shafts are done and assembled. Roders and propellores will be assembled when the model is complit, not to damage them.

Next is the 3 inch gun.

Thank you for sharing.
I think the most difficult part is coming with the 3 in gun due to the curvature.
Looking forward to your next step.

Pictures are bigger than the model itself and highlight sume issuse, considering to repaint it with a brush, if I can fined the right color.

Question

Shalom

While you are building a paper model, the curvature of the gun turret is such that you are not going to get it right. And the petal design will make it worse.

May I offer two alternatives :
1- sand the paper turret smooth and then add putty where needed and sand smooth again. Then repaint it the grey color to match as best you can.

or

2- make a vacuformed turret like a canopy.

I used the vacuform method for a large radar dome and it came out good.

here are the steps :
Scratch building a SAAR 3 missile boat-img_9284.jpg

Scratch building a SAAR 3 missile boat-img_9297.jpg

Scratch building a SAAR 3 missile boat-img_9316.jpg

Scratch building a SAAR 3 missile boat-img_9319.jpg

Scratch building a SAAR 3 missile boat-img_9342.jpg

And yes, I do remember when these boats entered service. They made a big deal of the Gabriel missiles as well. These were smaller and fast boats after the destroyer ship Eilat was sunk.
