I really enjoy playing World of Warships...
one of the amazing things is the amount of research that goes into each ship design in the game.
They put a lot of effort into getting as many details accurate as possible.
If a ship exists in real life, it is visited, photographed and laser scanned.

For non-existent craft, they rely on original plans and blueprints, vintage photos, and historical data.

The CGI realism is also amazing...I sit and study the ships in my Port.
Rivets, wrinkles in the metal, rust and more are all there.
(Only thing you won't see are sailors...on deck)

Any, I made those screengrabs from the Iron Duke in my arsenal...
if you wish any more views/angles/details just ask.
I can remove the camo next time since its just a game add-on to improve battle points and skills.

sorry to have sidetracked.

Airdave,

I also find these CGI drawings very good, I am not into the World of Warship, but interested in the models. QUESTION: are these models downloadable anywhere, I mean more views without the background of WoW, as you showed in your last picture ??

I did find an image on the internet of this ship which I now know comes from WoW as you have pointed out to me. Details are incredible. I will keep in mind that you can provide images for me if I need some. This is the only image I have from WoW.

Now to make that nice railing around it. This is the jig for it. Three popsicle sticks clamped together to achieve desired rail width. Mylar strip covering top surface so CA glue won't attach rail to popsicle stick. Thin strip of card stock on top of mylar edges two places. Thread wrapped around entire jig to create desired rail pattern. Another two thin strips over the thread wrap in the same positions as the first two strips. Whole rail assy above mylar CA glued.
