Great guns Tappi.
Nicely sculpted . . . highly detailed. How many of these will you need? Mike |

Thanks Mike but you propably didn't read the text thoroughly: this cannon is 1/20 scale and the ship is 1/96 so the ships cannons will be another matter. I wish I could do the same in smaller scale but those cannons will be about 2 cm long when this is five times bigger. Maybe I try? ;-)
This was just a day-off variation of the theme like the ships galley before. I thought it would be nice to show some excerpts of the ship in bigger scale maybe next to the finished model. Tappi |

I couldn’t resist the temptation to make a carriage for the barrel. So here it is - my interpretation of a 18th century naval cannon in 1/20 scale about. Now back to good ship and it’s fiddly fittings.

Thanks Dane and Radek. Today I've been working with compaqnionways and anchors. Lots of very small pieces to cut and edge colour. The crew's companionway had 39 pieces (the one with support beam attached near it) and smaller officer's companionway had 29. Let alone the anchors, all five of them. I cut some corners, simplified the build and painted them afterwards. That's all for now, finished pieces to my temporary storage box and tomorrow is another cool modelling day (-8 degrees Celsius outside at the moment). Take care and try to dodge the Omicron mutant.

Neat little 1/20 Naval Gun Tapcho. Good to see you're following correct safety protocols in having it pointed away from viewers.

Hi all,
Slow but steady the deck gets i's fittings. Helm, officer's skylight and of course ladders. Helmstation even has a little cute cabinet for sandglass, log and other accessories needed. Both companionways have ladders not that those are that visible in the finished ship. They propably had handrails too but the inconsistant part numbering in the sheets and pretty vaque instructions made leave them out. Just in case those parts are needed somewhere else. :D All the best, Tappi |
