Prince of Wales - 1/200- GPM- Kevin- started Jan 2022

good morning everyone

its taking me a while to get used to the way the forum works

my name is Kevin, I live in Somerset UK, a retired Submariner

I normally build in wood, but was building the stern section of the SD14 kit for a 90 day build on another forum, that ended on day 19 when i fell on it, as a result i purchased this, so that i could still get involved in the group build

as for the destroyed SD14, i have a new full kit on its way and will post that here, but at present i have 71 days left to build this

this is a 1/200 card/paper kit from GPM, it comes with the hull and superstructure in laser cut formers, which are marked very well to place the bulkheads

the large book contains lots of instructions (all in Polish) (which is my 2nd language NOT) and pages of identifications of the 2nd 1/2 of the book which is the actual kit

a few photos to show contents and a start has been made, yep bigger than the freezer

Oh no!

I am sorry to see this!
But it is good to be persistent and I admire that!

Polish is my language so if there is something difficult to translate, mention it here or post a photo of the text that is unclear and I am happy to help. Surely others would, too.

Wish you success and especially fun with the build!

Rgds,
Radek

Looking forward to the build. As for the instructions, you'll find them to be all but useless. Just follow the diagrams and be carefull.

Sad to see the accident but, this is a hugely supportive place to be which I'm sure you will have noticed. I wish you well with part 2, it's going to be great.

Hello, Kevin....good luck on your project.
Someone recently posted a note regarding Google Translator. Photograph a piece of text, and it is translated in English (or other language). I have not tried it, but will soon as I have several Polish and Russian kits. I would be interested in your comments if you try this.
