here are some pics of my interpretation of the 1860s ross winans 500 ton gunboat proposal for the russian navy.
free download (renova) scaled down to 1/250, modified armament using the muzzle loader from paper shipwright's hms staunch. some tamya acrylics, rigging made from stretched sprue. |
I've built this one as well and it's a great model and well designed. But your work on it is fantastic! I'm amazed at the quality of your work in this small scale!
Well done! Chris |
Superb! A wonderful example of the paper modelers art.
That looks outstanding!

OMG...that's just about enough to make me throw away my Fiscar's and take up needlepoint! Terrific job.
I agree, excellent build, very clean.
Beautifully executed. What is its actual measurement in 1/250 scale?
Wow! I REALLY like that! Very nicely done. I may have to attempt one myself someday.
 That cannon is unbelievable...or is that a massively upscaled card model of a Euro cent?
Great build. I have looked @ this vessel many times, but you seemed to really capture the look. Look forward to seeing more of you work. The gun was just awesome.:eek:Rick
