CSS Hunley

CSS Hunley 1/48 (I realize the "CSS" is a bone of contention amoung the rivet counters, but those boys died for their country anyway.)
Not particularly proud of this one, I over-reached a bit.
Couldn't get close enough. Darn 1/48!

Enjoy,
Lep

Nice model aned detailing. Our history is our history. America's Civil War cemented this country together, forever.

Is this a scratch, or is there a kit available?

The restoration group that found and raised the original Hunley (NUMA) used to have a paper model available for free from the Hunley page. But last time I checked, it was no longer available. You can however, order some nice looking resin and wood kits here.
I never grabbed the paper model when I could've...and now it's gone forever.

Sigh...

Dunno why you're not proud of her, Lep- she looks great to me. A fine build by my lights.

A fine build! I have the Renova kit which I'll get to one of these days. I may still have the free Hunley on one of my backups.

Not to hitchhike your thread, here is the link to my build of the Renova kit. I bought two so I could build one and keep the other. It is a gem of a kit.

CSS Hunley
