Got the formers all cut and the hull framework assembled. I had to add a few pieces of card to add some reinforcement to the main hull spine.

Been looking for similar models for some time. Will enjoy watching your build.

I have the hull entered into freeship. Would you like that?

Don't know what freeship is.

2mm would definitely be really hard on fingers.

A unique build. Looking forward to it Greg.

Lower hull plating. Some gaps will need attention (filling and painting). Could be better, could be worse.

Thank you for the kind words!

So, I did some touchup on the hull and started to plan the next steps and I stopped.

Why?

Something does not look right at the top edge of the hull plating. I don't see how the upper hull and lower hull join into a cohesive whole, without any sort of gaps.

I have to think on this a bit.

I may just switch to a different project for awhile to clear my mind.

Greg

Top hull plating on. It is lumpy. It was not enjoyable. This model is loosing its luster. Fast.

Exactly my experience. I abandoned ship in this stage. These old Halinski kits are not of the same quality the newer ones are. This one is from 1996. A lot has been improved since.
Glad you have the same problems. I already began to doubt my skills. Thanks!

Building this makes me feel like my skill set has degraded instead of improved. It is disheartening.
