I guess old habits are hard to break, started building while stationed in FRG during the 70's and the designs were 1:250 waterline. So that has stuck with me. Thanks for the reply.:DRick
I hear you on the 'hole' hull thing. The full hull looks nice but can be a time and effort 'hole' that often becomes so frustrating I give up on an otherwise excellent model.

I look forward to seeing this giant come together, you are off to a great start.

I thought it was a bit dark, but I also have another French Battleship of which you have built from scratch, and this one too has about the same color decking, even though the kit is of another mfg. Thanks for your kind words, sir and I hope to hear from you more as I build this grand ship of the line.:DRick

Thank you my friends, Golden Bear & B-Manic. I look forward to any help you may feel free to offer. Golden Bear, I know of your love for the French Battleship and I am honored by your words, B-Manic you are kind sir and I look forward to any comment from you. I must admit, this is really too date the largest model I have taken on and the most complex, but boy, am I having fun with this. I have came along way since the humble start back into paper modeling with the 1/700 Digital Navy Dreadnought. But the best thing of all is the great people I have come to know as friends here and I am thankful for each and all. What a wonderful hobby we have. :DRick

Well I did think it was a bit dark but then other folks think my decks are too light then I thought it will probably lighten with time anyway and maybe WAK built it in.

Really looks good, Rick.
Ship models look so complicated, but folks like you make it look easy.

Deck is great.

Good deck work there Rick. And you took lots of pictures. I like the shade of brown on this one.

Nice looking start Rick. Love this subject.

The laser cut parts look well worth the money for the results.

Keep up the great work!

Hello and thank you Krzychu74, I have to admit many things were explained that I did not understand in the sparse instructions. The photos are of a great help to ID parts locations. Now for the part I am not sure of. I not only just looked @ photos, but I read what was said about the model?????? You see I have Google Translate on my Toolbar, and I can read about any language on the net! I must say the foul language was a turn off, we would never allow that here on this Forum. I understand too the guy had issues with the kit and to tell the truth so far I have not worked on any kit that did not have a few glitches, especially a ship!!!! Now please do not get me wrong, I appreciate what you did to allow me access to the sites, but I was taken back by the insulting way members talked to ea. other? Here, we are friends! So I will use the photos for reference, but to anyone reading this, the written part of the threads will not be of much use. And what I do not understand above all is this, the guy pissed and moaned thru the build, but kept @ it, and as far I can tell, if I can do 1/2 the job I will be happy. Again thanks for your help Krzychu74, I hope to see some of your builds soon. The micro models are just too much. Alas, my ole eyes/hands can not handle such small, but well detailed kits.:DRick
