USS Lexington CV-2 (1:200)
Hello all,
I enclose a few photos to show my progress on the Lex. I built what amounts to a skeleton waterline model first including the flight deck. Since the deck is nice and flat (well sort of) it can be flipped over and the underwater parts put on. I an about half way through that process. This model is a brute, 4.5 feet long. Cutting out the 2mm card stock is tough. It hurts the fingers after a while. Other than that it's great fun. Jim Bean Last edited by jimbean; 09-26-2007 at 06:04 PM. Reason: Add photos. |

Here are some pics of my Lexington. This is all I have got done in 1 1/2 years. It looks OK from a distance, not so good closer. The bridge and stack are not glued on. I have found that the model is so big that when working on one end it is easy to knock stuff off of the other, thus I don't attach until I have to.
