Beautiful! the out of focus look of the first one makes it seem like a shot from WWII! I still can't get over how realistic these are!

Hi papermodelers,

thanks for your kind comments.
Please excuse my late answer, but during the last weeks i had more dates with different physicians than with blade and glue.

Try to post some more pictures soon.

Regards

Hans Gerd

Hans,
First off, I have enjoyed your pictures very much! It inspires me to try something of my own.

Secondly, is your Gambier Bay model the one by Halinski? It looks great! I especially like the carrier photos.

Thanks for sharing your work.

Hi cardmodeler,
yes, it`s the Halinski Gambier Bay, a highly detailed model which was fun to build.

Regards

I have that one on my to-build pile. I just wondered if there were any particular problems you may have had in building it.

Hi cardmodeler,
there had been no serious problems in building the Gambier Bay. What I disliked were the too many hull plating sections. The building instructions look fine, but you have to search quite a lot if you want to find the location of a special part. As common to most of the polish models parts which belong together are spread all over the sheets.

Well, here are some more "action"

I am very impressed as well as the rest of us!
I did a color shot a couple years back of an MTB 102, I used a printing of the ocean then crumpled it, spread it back out and sprayed with gloss. Put a backdrop of sky with waterline. I then airbrushed the wake (on computer). It looks pretty good to me but hardly compares to yours!
