HMS Victory
Hi,
Here are some pictures of my HMS Victory that I started to build in March. These pictures are made 2 weeks ago, so some things have changed. I'll try to make some new pictures as soon as I can. The ship is made out of paper, cardboard and matches. Enjoy the pictures and I hope you like them. If you have any questions then feel free ask. Also if someone wants, I can upload some older pictures of the construction too. |

Beautiful work Tommikas! Ship building especially at this level is quite beyond me. Perhaps someday but I think it would take me years to do something like this.

Hi tommikas!
Welcome to this international forum! Nice to have one shipbuilder more here! A really nice model! I myself still do not have the 'guts' to build this beauty of the seas! Nice copper plating! What is the scale - 1:200 ?? Was it a kit, if yes, what kind of kit? Or did you used some plans and scratch build? I guess it is a kit... What paints did you use? If there were some problems that occured during the build and you have pictures on the solution(s) (of any difficulties that may have happened) I would be glad to see and learn! However, looking forward to see more of your fine works! Regards, Radek

It's good to know that so many people like my project. I'll now try to answer to the questions you asked.
The ships scale is 1:176. I calculated it somewhere. I used Maly Modelarz drawings to make the ship bust some thing I made by myself, because it seemed to be easier. Ship is painted with Humbrol colors. Maybe I would use different colors but there are only Humbrol colors available where I buy them. But I think those colors are nice and I don't have anything bad to say about them. It's very hard to give any tips, because it's one of my first ships. There is one ship more that I built earlier. I would say that I am using this HMS Victory just for practicing. Next ship would be the Santisima Trinidad and I am hoping to make it look even nicer. Here are some older pictures too. I don't have very much of them because I often forget to make pictures. Also I will post some newer pictures too. |
