Dutch Protected Cruiser Hr.Ms. HERTOG HENDRIK

Hi all,

Right now I'm building the Dutch protected cruiser "Hertog Hendrik" from scratch. The frames and all I are already glued together. My next task is the hull plating, but that is the problem, how do I design the hull plating so that it fits the frames, see attachments.

Greetings

John.

Design the underwater hull as one piece knife it at the frame positions. Then experiment to see if the skin can be made to fit over more than 2 frames.

Tried several ways to cover the hull, without succes, finaly ruined my hull en it ended up in the dustbin.
For now I had enough of it, maybe start over in a while.

The last few pictures. By the way the scale of the model is 1:125. I'm building the ship now as it was between 1903 and around 1910 as first build, and in "Tropical" Colors, if that is the rigth English word for it.

Greetings

JohnMGD.
