Coming along nicely. I assume this will be one big Big E. Looking forward to this one being available. For the time period you are building, what type AC will she be assigned. Oh yea, Merry Christmas barry.:DRick

Frame checks

I hate this bit it goes on forever and is downright boring as well. It's even worse if you don't do it.

I will have to get back to you on the planes papercut

Hull top level

Not very interesting pics there are 2 narrow deck levels to go on top the cantilevered deck and the flight deck. I hope I can keep the base level building it this way. I will have to modify the interior hanger space to only be half the beam of the deck otherwise it will flop a bit. The upper deck is not stuck down to late at night for that.

Wotcher, bazzer!

Looks very interesting to me!

It's a treat to see this new project progressing so well; your photo updates are very instructive in model design for folk like me that someday hope to be able to take that next step into model design...thanks for taking the time to post your build process, it is very much appreciated!

Cheers!
Jim

Full keel

Full keel plate laid out at least it fits had to go back to building large lumps stupidly I have brought on a recurrence of rsi so small stuff is out for a while. Maybe it will pass off in a day or so some times you just get to cocky that it has gone away.

Awful pictures.

Hi Barry, sorry I haven't been around. My health has not been good lately. But your BigE is coming along fine. I took my 1/350 scratchbuilt down from the closet and dust it off. some photos of the 1962 build.
