OK, that's done it! Just been to E-cardmodels and bought the LSM, downloaded it, now to find the time...

Good looking build so far!

Thanks fellas for the kind words. However I believe I have botched the attachment of the first hull side. My allignment is off about 3" or so. I should have started at the aft section and worked my way forward.

I've put this piece on really well, so removal isn't a good option. I've got some ideas of how to fix it, I'm just going to proceed to the port side and do it the right way first. I'll fall back and fix this after I've had couple days to think about it.

Ordered Some Goodies

Ordered some goodies today to trick out the LSM when I get to the detailing stage.

JB Models' 20 mm guns
John R Haynes fittings: oil drums, water tanks, rail stanchions, 40 mm bofor single

Shopping bliss! :D

Fixed it!

Well, after Barry helped me through my starboard side debacle, I've corrected the problem. I attached the stern section, filled the gap with plain card, removed the belts at the bottom and overlayed the new mid-section in the proper position. I'll now have to put on the bow section with some card, and some over lay to complete the starboard side.

I also started the port side and did this one properly.

Bow sections next, and then the bow doors. Making slow progress, but should keep pushing the bar higher as we go. Learning alot as always...

Looking good. My mistake which you will have found by now is that I did not leave a cut out in the former for the anchor housing. Sorry for that !

Looks good EIB. It is impressive how many tanks these would carry.

Thanks gentlemen. I hope to get back to work on her tonight after a couple days layoff.

@Barry... I never noticed that missing. No worries my friend, it shouldn't be too hard to add. As Yu is fond of my saying "making lemonade from lemons" has become one of my specialties.

@Michael... Yeah I think LSM is rated to carry 6 Shermans, but I see the room and possibility to squeeze 7 of those tanks in there. These amphibs were quite larger than you'd realize at first glance....
