As I mentioned earlier, before the belated millennium virus, I have my humbler and simpler Santa Maria looking at me and I keep putting it to the bottom of my build list every time I look at your museum piece.

Very nice work there Doris! It is welcome sight to see a nice card build of Nelson's Victory, a neat and correct build, just very pretty. Your ship's boat and canon look nice and the detail is great! (I haven't seen yet such a nice build of this ship in card is undoubtably the most famous sailing ship in the Royal Navy)

Dear friends, thank you very much for all your greetings and comments, I ´m very honored by reading your approbations. At this time I make first ropes and model starts to look like sailing-ship. I try to create this part of model exactly according to real Victory, so I collect photos and search plans etc. because Shipyard´s assemble instructions are full of mistakes and many things are missing totally.
Some new photos of model:

In following parts of this tread I ´ll try to describe all process with detailed photos.
First I made complete framework from robust paper parts, glued up from more layers. Stern is changed for addition of cabins and illumination. Of course stern gallery in my model is open with balconies, so a lot of parts will be modified.
All paper parts are impregnated by clear acrylic varnish.

It is necessary check up the symmetry all time.
