That is a masive amount of rigging!
Of course, that gives it great authenticity.

Hello friends!
I´m very glad you like my building. Thank you for comments!
Now I´m finishing the rigging and during next weeks Vicy will get sails and next level of details and rigging. Some parts of model are improved or reworked cause I was not satisfied with them. I must tell you I enjoy her building very much.
Some new shots from progress.

it sure does look good Doris, I think by the way that shipyard kit is a lot better than a kit that is on sale now in a magazine with wooden parts. no idea how many issues one has to buy to finish the ship but at two pounds for the first issue and just under six for the rest it seems way to much really. its scale 1:84 which is not that much of a difference really with the shipyard one which seems great value and well detailed judging by your photos and the others I have seen of the finished ship on forums.

Cinematic Touch...

I've been monitoring your build. I picked up quite a few invaluable tips from your project and would like to thank you. The time and energy that shows in the photo work presented is also well appreciated. Interior lighting, dramatic camera angle and evening(?) sky are the stuff of movie making model art, a total suspension of disbelief. Bravo, bravo!

Doris, I have just one question...

Where did you find the kit/plans for this beauty?

I have always loved the Victory, and it would be nice to know where a kit would be available...

It is beautiful, Doris! You have made a great Victory, whenever you do finish her rigging details ( I have stalled there...but am planning to pick it up again on Cleo...)

Lancer, the kit is by Shipyard Models - usually available from most of the online stores (I know PaperModelStore.com has it.) Shipyard has reprinted it a couple times and they change the kit number each time - the latest version should be number 26, I believe.

Thank you for your comments, dear friends, your words mean a lot for me.
I chose paper kit from Shipyard, because of suitable scale, material and price – wooden models are too expensive for me and I have no tools for wooden models. Before I started building I decided to create Victory according to her original look from c.1798. I wanted to build a unique model of this beautiful ship.

I got some pictures and plans of Vic´s look from my friends, especially from Firdajan. He helped me a lot with ideas, opinions and especially with a look of decorations. Some details and parts of this model I created by my own – they come from my fantasy, because I didn´t find everything I needed in historical plans a documents. I also like taking pictures, so there are plenty of photos from all progress.
