HMT Olympic conversion 1:1200

After building Titanic and Britannic I am currently working on a HMT Olympic conversion. This model is not finished yet, I am working on the conversion parts while building the prototype.

Some pictures:

Note, the funnels are not yet attached to the model, they are there for the picture only.

Thanks for the comments on this model, the colors are mainly based upon the Arthur Lismer painting as shown in the photograph and upon the Mauretania model wich depicted Olympic's dazzle scheme wich was on display in the Imperial War Museum.

Olympic had two dazzle scheme's during the war, this is her 2nd. I am also working on a model depicting her first.

I agree - the dazzle paint job looks great on your model!

Looking good. Working at that scale must be pretty difficult!

Thanks for the comments!

Working in this scale is difficult indeed. Especially designing the new parts.
I had allready designed the guns, but after building one of them they seemed to be to large. So it is back to the drawing board:

A proto type gun for HMT Olympic

P.s. this is a bit off topic, but for those who like to see dazzlepaints.
Based upon my models I have drawn Dazzlepaint schemes they are uploaded in the Art Forum of the Titanic Research and Modelling Association (TRMA)
