It is a pleasure to see so many fine images of your Nagato. You are a true expert with Japanese warships. And I could not help but notice one of my favorites of yours, the Fuso, in the picture of your models at home. Terrific!

The Nagato is superb. I like the 1931 appearance.

Your great photos give me a chance to reveal my ignorance of Japanese naval architecture: what was the purpose of the railing-like devices around the funnels? They seem to be most common on Japanese and Italian warships, although they occasionally appear on the funnels of other ships.
