I forgot to say that the white interior parts are easy. Take them to a blueprint copy shop and they can enlarge them at little cost. They have LARGE black/white copiers.
My problem with the cut-off side was only on the colour copies.

I've been thinking of going to a copyshop but I think I can do it with my new scaner and printer in one. Although it only prints in A4 I hope I can pussle it together

Here is a little tase of some parts that is in the correct size.

So, Bit by bit I have cut out the parts for the Gambier Bay.
At the same time I have enlarged and printed the parts for the Essex.

Here's an update. maybe I can use some parts from the Gambier for the essex and maybe I can construct a open hangar deck

As you can see the Essex is one BIG boat compared to the Gambier.
(Incase you don't know, the Essex is the uncut papers on the last to pics).
Thoughts?

As noted above I salvaged enough pieces from the defective 1:200 (increase 1.5) enlargement to build the island. I was afraid that it would be too much of an enlargement but It seems that the detail in the result is OK.

The smaller brother is a 1:250 (increase 1.2) enlargement which was successful but I wanted the big one.

The frame is looking really good. I noticed that the bottom skin pieces are really large, and the frames extra far apart, due to the scale up. I suspect that you will have to be extra careful to keep the frames square so that the skins fit OK.
I don't intend to go any further with my model except maybe to add the quad 40 mm guns from the etch set that GPM has.
Keep the pictures coming. regards Jim Bean

These building a good project, I'm riding the Modelarz Maty Essex and thought in 1:200 scale but is too big for my printer and in the end will ride to 1:300.

My idea is to make the open hangar. Since most of the helmet mount but I will repeat it because I do not like it has been and gray colors of the stiffeners is varied between pages. My idea is to print on gray cardboard.

Un saludo

There is no problem to fit the parts on a A4 paper. I just scan, cut and place the parts so they fit the paper. I usualy place the parts on a 2400*3500 pix and tha size works for most parts. the problem I have is the large hull parts but I guess I just split them in the middle

As I said, I am at the moment doing the Gambier Bay but I run out of cardboard.
So I just collect smal spare parts and doing a little smaler boat instead.

Good Idea with the "Taffy III" so I just got started on the Uss Heermann :D
I've also scanned a few parts so I have plans for another destroyer in the taffy group. The Uss Hoel.
any tip on how I can repaint the parts so It will look like Hoel?
