HIJMS TAMA Scale 1:200

Hello all,

Like to introduce my building thread for my latest model, HIJMS Tama, a Japanese Light Cruiser from the Kuma Class. I like to build her cut open over a 50% lenght of the ship.
The frames I (had to) made from ply wood, otherwise the frame wouldn't have been sturdy enough for my plans, but don't worry the rest will be from paper and cardboard.
Here the first pictures.

Here are the next pictures. By the way the ship in the background is the Hr.Ms Hertog Hendrik, a Dutch Armored Cruiser from around 1905, this as a distraction from the TAMA when things going rough )

Hello John,
Great looking project. You are a pioneer with this type of presentation. The cutaway rendition you did of Battleship Fuso was great piece of work. I look forward to watching this one take shape.

Hi John,
Another masterpiece in the making!
Did you ever think about designing a commercial model?

Thanks Guys for your comment.

Michael: Well, I thought about it, BUT I can't work with 3D program software, wich I tried, but failed, maybe my age :D, I can't figure out these programs.

John.

PS: I'm going to send you an e-mail !!

This will be interesting, and all from scratch, too.

These models are difficult enough to design without trying to show the interiors...I bow to the master. Terrific job.
