Thanks Carl............always knew them thing things that went under the water were called boats............. just didn't know when to start calling a ship a ship.
Nasty class and Point class are well over the 40 foot and the tonnage. Both Alpha and Swift boats come in at 50 feet and over the 40 tons............. but Alpha ships and Swift Ship don't sound right Heck all of the LCM conversions beat the tonnage and length too but they will still be boats to me. I guess technically they are all craft.....................:p john |

ya know, this series of models, might actually get me to build a boat, and stick with it.
I have never been been good with ships and the like John, count me in as a fan who would love to see this come to fruition Rick

I said it before and I'll say it again...that is one heckofa nice looking boat!
Okay, so it doesn't have wings, but I do think you've got quite a wonderful design talent there, John. The PBR will be another great model, if this one is any indication. I'm right behind OldTroll...sign me up! Cheers! Jim |

Traditionally any vessel that operates in fresh water is a boat (submarines excepted).
A 1000ft long, 90,000 tonne Great Lakes ore carrier is a BOAT |
