Hello Doris,
Not many have a collection that can be match this one. It looks like you have been at this for a long time. I see with your Titanic, you have experimented with interior lighting before. And you build just about every type, from sailing ships to warships to passenger ships. All very nice.
May I ask: How did you get started building ships? And what keeps you going?
Thanks,
Mike

Oh my goodness Doris. You put many of us to shame for our builds. Myself included. You are indeed a very talented ship builder. Do you make any other models or stick to ships?

Thanks again, and as already stated, more pictures please, when you can that is.

Cheers
Jim

DORIS, all ships are fantastic in their way but what caught my attention the most is passenger ship. It’s very romantic to put the light on in the ship that will impress my wife. I have built 40 paper models but my wife ignores my model building except the one architecture model.
After current battle ship build I will build a passenger ship and in launching ceremony put the light on with back ground music. “Sail along silvery moor” will go well with it. Thank you for the inspiration!

Thank you very much for your comments and compliments! I am very honored you like my models.
I took new photos for you and I am going to insert them in this thread gradually, so you can look them over.
How I started? My first paper models I made when I was six, I started with easy models from a magazine named ABC (maybe somebody of you knows Richard Vyškovský and his beautiful models). I always liked sailing-ships, sport cars and buildings – especially houses and castles. And I also tried to assemble plastic models and go on through nowadays. Now I would like to build very realistic ship models , especially sailing- ships – I have started Sovereign of the seas , or passenger ships like QM2 or SS France. And for a change I´ll make modern cars from paper or plastic, my favourite brand is Nissan and another Japanese cars. So I can say I like not only ships´ models but cars as well. When I have more time I´ll take some pictures of them and put in new thread.

Not all of my models are perfect, but it is necessary to learn all the time.
