Sofar the fit of parts goes pretty well. I was a little bit worried at first that because it's an upscaled model there could be some problems with the fit of smaller parts, but the slightly heavier and thicker grade of paper on which it is printed takes care of that nicely. That being said, I'm not into the truly small and fiddly bits yet...

Here is some of the detail at the base of the platform, and the start of the superstructure. The central structure is the base of the drilling rig itself.

Hello Marco,
This is really quite a project. It is already impressive to look at. It should get a lot of attention when finsihed.

Nice detail work on the underside of the platform Marco. This area won't be too visible to the viewer from the shelf, but it's loaded with detail. Very well done.

Cheers! This one should at least be of some interest in the office, since I work in oil & gas, and support offshore operations. Eventually this model is likely to stay in Nigeria, just have to find the right person/place.
